I’m thrilled to be a recipient of this year’s Denver Music Advancement Fund thanks to Denver Arts & Venues and Take Note Colorado (list of recipients). With this help, I’ve been able to jumpstart my dream of building a drum circle community/event at Downtown Denver’s Civic Center Park. I was able to partner with Civic Center’s “Day In The Park” events on June 5th & July 31st. Both were a great success, and there will be one more drum circle in conjunction with MOYO Art’s HarvestShare Festival @Madame CJ Walker Park September 17. MOYO Arts also came through in helping provide drums for the events 🙏. There will also be more culture-specific drum & dance workshops offered through the day.
